There is no movement by the order picker in the sorting systems method. Rather, stuff are brought to the orderpicker by an automatic system like an automatic storage system or a conveyor system. In the zone picking method, each order picker is assigned to one specific zone. They are responsible for only realizing order picking within this particular area.
